2. After completion of investigation, chargesheet was filed against accused Mohd. Salik for the offences punishable under Sections 363/366/328/376 IPC and 3/4 of the POCSO Act.
3. Vide order dated 18.12.2013, charge for the offences punishable under Sections 363/366/376 IPC was framed against the accused, to which he pleaded not guilty and claimed trial. Thereafter, an additional charge, dated 13.05.2014 was framed against the accused for the offence punishable under Section 6 of the POCSO Act. The accused pleaded not guilty to this charge as well.
4. In order to establish its case, the prosecution examined 14 witnesses at the trial.
